Important Guidance for International Travelers:

Before embarking on your American vacation, make sure you have the proper documentation:

  • Determine whether you require a US visa or if you are eligible for the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA).
  • Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after your planned visit.

US Visa Requirements:

  • Valid passport
  • Completed visa application form (DS-160).
  • Proof of finances.
  • Travel itinerary
  • Photographs that match US visa standards
  • Depending on the reason for your visit, you may be required to provide additional documents

Remember that visa processing can take several weeks, so apply well ahead of your intended travel date.

Travel Tips for Your US Adventure:

  1. Transportation: In cities, use public transportation or ride-sharing apps. Domestic flights are often the quickest option to travel between locations.
  2. Accommodation: Make reservations in advance, particularly in popular tourist sites. For a truly unique experience, combine hotels with vacation rentals.
  3. Tipping is widespread in the United States. Restaurants typically charge 15% to 20% of the bill.
  4. Weather: The weather in the United States varies dramatically. Check the weather for each trip and pack appropriately.
  5. Power Adapters: The United States employs 120-volt electricity with Type A and B plugs. Bring an adapter if necessary.
  6. Consider purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself from unexpected occurrences.
  7. Stay Connected: To avoid expensive roaming charges, get a local SIM card or an international plan for your phone.
  8. National Parks: If you plan on visiting multiple national parks, consider purchasing an America the Beautiful Pass to save money.

So, a two-week vacation in the United States is simply a sample of what this vast and diverse nation has to offer! From the skyscrapers of New York to the natural wonders of Yosemite, and from the political core of Washington to the neon lights of Las Vegas, you’ll experience the extraordinary diversity that makes America unique. Prepare for a fantastic journey filled with renowned sights, delectable food, and unforgettable experiences. The United States of America awaits you; start your journey!
