3 best place to consider if you want to live in Italy

Without a doubt, Italy is a country with so much to offer. From the stunning north to the incredibly warm south, this beautiful country offers grandiose panoramas, mountains or gentle hills, wonderful cityscapes or lovely small towns overlooking the sea, a rich culture with over 53 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and delicious gastronomy.

It is therefore clear to see why many people decide to move to Italy. The north of the country offers many job opportunities and a lot of large companies are located here, whereas the center has beautiful country landscapes favored by many expats. The south of Italy, on the other hand, has an incredible charm with its slow lifestyle and good climate throughout the year.

Pain & Gain: What to Expect During a Nose Job

If you are considering to relocate in Italy, here you are a brief list of some of the most common places chosen by expats.

Choose the perfect location for you

If you want to live in a big city, such as Milan, Florence or Rome, to experience the Dolce Vita, however, be prepared for the hectic city life. On the opposite side, if you prefer quiet places and a family environment, you will be better off choosing some small villages.

To choose the location that best suits your needs, do not forget to take your time and think about what your new destination should be like.

Then, you can consider two or three options and start looking for houses in Italy, from modern flats in the city to the ancient rural homes in the countryside. There are many properties where you can start your new life or begin a business, such as opening a guest house.

1. Rome, where to find history and art

It is hard to resist the capital’s incredible charm. Taking a quick look at one of the best places to live in Italy, you can immediately see that this city offers a lot of history, a rich arts scene and an affordable cost of living, especially outside tourist areas.

Just a few kilometers away from the center and the stunning landmarks, such as Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, you can find fine art galleries, vibrant and popular squares, traditional restaurants and most important designer shops. It should not be forgotten that Rome is also home to prestigious international universities and schools.

Rome is a perfect place to move to in Italy: you can choose a flat in the city center or move to the suburbs, where the cost of living is generally affordable.

2. Abruzzo, for whom desire to live in unspoiled places

It may not be one of Italy’s best-known regions, but Abruzzo, considered ‘strong and gentle’ as the locals say, is definitely an area to keep an eye on if you are looking for a quiet, unspoiled place to live in Italy. Moreover, housing costs here are still low.

There are some towns in Abruzzo, where, thanks to the majestic mountains with their snow-capped peaks, you can breathe an air of tranquility, different from the usual urban bustle.

Among breathtaking landscapes with wild nature and typical fauna, such as wolves and bears, you can arrive to the coast. Here you can find the most popular summer tourist destinations with crystal-clear sea and many facilities.

If you want to relocate in Abruzzo, you have a lot of options, from farmhouses to mountain lodges or beach houses.

3. Tuscany where you can find a big expats community

It is now well known that Tuscany is considered one of the best places for many people to move to. As a center of culture, art, and sophisticated rural life, Tuscany attracts both tourists and homebuyers.

For example, Brits have been buying property here for many years, so you can find a lovely scene of expats in the most populated areas. However, in addition to cities such as Florence, Siena and Arezzo, there are some less-explored regions, the Lunigiana or the Maremma, where it is possible to enjoy a quiet life surrounded by nature, within walking distance of the city.
